She wondered if she would ever grow up

She wondered if she would ever grow up enough to wear a real party dress
Thank you for pushing me to continue thinking about the "On the clothesline" series.  For this art journal page, I did experiment with cutting a dress out of plaster and applying to a regular page.  It's in response to the Creativity Boot Camp prompt, "grow." The journaling is written on the clothesline.

love the colours and I remember so well wishing for the time I could wear a real (by which I meant sexy) party dress

Love it Rinda! I'm still wondering when I'll ever be grown up enough to wear a beautiful big girl now party dress!

a perfect addition to your series. you can actually "feel" the pull toward the party dress, the yearning to grow up and begin a life.

This is such a lovely project, I'm wondering what size pages you are making? I love the colours in this one too.

Ah, I remember having a "real grown-up" dress. It wasn't anything very daring or outrageous, but it made me feel very "posh" and "grown up" - at the age of 19!

The series is wonderful,Rinda .... and I clearly remember that desire to wear a real 'grown up' dress....and high heels! I love the picture you've used....so evocative of childhood.
